During a three-week mentorship program from the Wilson School of Design, while partnered with All Purpose, with classmate Chase Hudson, and with the guidance of the All Purpose team, we designed reimaging of what the C.O.D.E.S web platform could be.

By first acquainting ourselves with the material and goals, we then developed two distinct directions that later fused into one strong solution. Developed in Figma, we worked to create mobile versions as well as desktop, utilizing a grid and determined spacer set throughout.

The goal for the imagery was to use two specific styles. One is, macro photography to highlight the “natural technology” that organic forms encompass, and two, is using imagery of humans with soft interactions with nature. These types of imagery relate back to CODES mission of connecting stewards of change who are working towards having a lighter digital footprint.

The “Our Three Shifts” page utilized drop-down menus and use of colour coding for highlighting and grouping. CODES works within three main “shifts” that each embody a series of specific goals. It was important to make the dense amount of information comprehensible and not overwhelming yet easy to navigate.
